Start with the purpose of the system

CCTV and access control should be planned around the views, entry points and operating needs of your premises. We agree the equipment, cabling and functions before installation.

We discuss the areas you want to view or control, how the building operates and who will manage the system. The scope should be clear before selecting equipment.

Existing systems need assessment for compatibility and condition.

What we can do for your premises.

CCTV camera installation

Camera positions, viewing angles, lighting conditions and obstructions affect the images a system can provide. We agree the intended views and equipment as part of the installation scope.

Cabling routes, maintenance access and recording arrangements are considered together.

Recording and remote access

Compatible systems may support remote viewing. Internet availability, software, permissions and any subscriptions are discussed before installation.

Remote access does not include a monitored response service unless separately agreed.

Video entry systems

We can install suitable video entry arrangements with agreed monitors, app functions or authorised door release where supported.

Door equipment and any interface with other systems need specification and coordination.

Keypad and fob access

Access systems can use agreed keypad or fob arrangements. Administration, user permissions and day-to-day management are discussed during handover.

Door release, escape arrangements and relevant fire-system interfaces must be assessed as part of the design.

Existing systems and maintenance

We can discuss faults, alterations and additions to existing systems. Work may require authorised credentials, product information and suitable replacement parts.

Compatibility and parts availability cannot be assumed before assessment.

Cabling and future additions

Routes, cabinet space and system capacity can be planned around anticipated growth where practical.

Power and data requirements are coordinated with the rest of the installation.

Functional checks and handover

We check agreed functions and demonstrate relevant operation, including viewing or entry functions within the scope. User administration and recording arrangements are explained to the responsible team.

Installation around your business

Work can be coordinated with a wider fit-out or arranged separately. Out-of-hours attendance is subject to availability.

Defining the useful coverage

We discuss what you need to see, the likely lighting conditions and any obstructions. Camera position and lens choice influence the view. Recording, authorised access and day-to-day management need to be agreed with the responsible team.

Handover and system administration

We demonstrate agreed viewing, recording or entry functions and clarify how authorised users will manage the system. Remote features depend on compatible equipment, connectivity and any applicable subscriptions. Door-release arrangements and interfaces with other building systems require coordination within the design.
