Calculations depend on agreed operating hours, tariffs and control assumptions. Savings and simple payback figures are estimates for the lighting scope, not guarantees for the whole building's bill.
Replacement fittings or a new layout
Some premises suit replacement fittings in existing positions. Others benefit from a revised layout to address uneven lighting, changed room use or inefficient spacing.

Lighting layouts and lux levels

Emergency lighting
Emergency lighting has separate requirements and must be considered alongside changes to normal lighting. We can include assessment, installation or testing within an agreed scope.
Understanding a savings estimate
Existing and proposed lighting loads, operating hours and the assumed electricity tariff affect the calculation. Where control savings are included, the assumptions need to be clear so the same saving is not counted twice. We can explain estimated annual consumption, costs and simple payback for the lighting scope when sufficient information is available.
An upgrade that works for the people using it
The lowest wattage is not automatically the right lighting solution. We also consider the distribution of light, room use, screen work, glare, fitting positions and maintenance access. Changes to normal lighting should be coordinated with any emergency lighting requirements.
